De-AMP
What is Foom’s De-AMP feature?
What is Foom’s “De-AMP” feature?
AMP, or Accelerated Mobile Pages, is a non-standard subset of HTML developed and pushed by Google. AMP pages are served from Google’s servers, though designed to look like they’re coming from the original publisher’s site.
Foom automatically redirects AMP and similar pages to the publisher’s page, which has privacy, security, usability, and performance benefits.
You can read more in our blog post announcing De-AMP.
When this feature is enabled, Foom also applies the same protection against Yandex Turbo Pages.
How to toggle this feature
To toggle this feature, go to Settings → Privacy (foom://settings/privacy) and click Auto-redirect AMP pages.
