This Privacy Policy describes how Foom LLC ("Foom," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use Foom ("For Only One Me"), our privacy-native AI browser platform and related services (collectively, the "App" or "Services"). Foom is designed to minimize data collection and to keep local workflows on your device whenever possible.
To access and use the App, you must create an account, sign in, and accept our Terms of Use. By creating an account, signing in, connecting third-party services, or otherwise using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Registration, account, and payment information: During registration and account management, we collect information needed to create and administer your account, such as your name, email address, and date of birth. We use date of birth to verify that you meet the App's 18+ age requirement. If you voluntarily provide a contact number for account security, SMS verification, or support callbacks, we use that number only for that stated purpose. Payments are processed by Stripe; Foom receives limited billing metadata and does not directly collect or store your full credit card number.
- Google Sign-In information: If you use Google Sign-In, we receive basic profile information from Google with your consent, such as your Google email address and profile name, solely to create, link, authenticate, and manage your Foom account.
- Google Drive and Google API data (optional): If you choose to connect Google Drive or another Google service, we access Google user data only after you authorize the requested Google OAuth scope. For Drive, Foom requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly. This scope can permit viewing and downloading Drive files, but Foom uses it only to access files you select or expressly request Foom to analyze in the App.
- Anonymous or aggregated telemetry: We collect limited anonymous or aggregated telemetry, such as crash and error metrics, performance metrics, usage frequency, time spent in the App, and feature interactions. Telemetry does not include the substantive content of your prompts, documents, local files, browsing content, or Google Drive files.
- Location information for eligibility: To enforce geographic restrictions and comply with applicable export and regulatory requirements, we access and process your device geolocation and/or IP-derived location before and during your use of the Services. We store location eligibility records on secure servers only to verify that you are in a permitted region, currently the United States or India, and for compliance recordkeeping.
- User-generated content: Local workflows stay on your device. For non-Google cloud AI workflows, selected prompts, files, or other content that you submit to that cloud workflow may be transmitted to the selected cloud provider for processing. Google API Data, as defined below, is excluded from non-Google cloud AI workflows.
Foom does not collect your contact list, the contents of local files processed strictly locally, or local model training data processed strictly on your device.
2. Google API Data and Limited Use
For this Privacy Policy, "Google API Data" means information Foom receives from Google APIs, including Google Sign-In profile data, Google Drive file content, Drive file metadata, OAuth tokens, and other information derived from those items.
Foom's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Purpose limitation: We use Google API Data only to provide and improve user-facing Google integration features that are visible in the App, such as authenticating your account, retrieving user-selected Drive files, displaying or downloading those files for you, and performing the Google Drive analysis you request.
- No advertising or resale: We do not sell, rent, broker, or transfer Google API Data to advertising platforms, data brokers, information resellers, or advertising networks. We do not use Google API Data for serving ads, retargeting, personalized advertising, credit-worthiness, lending, or surveillance.
- No generalized model training: We do not use Google API Data to train, improve, or fine-tune generalized machine learning or artificial intelligence models, including Foom models or models operated by third-party providers. We do not permit third-party AI providers to use Google API Data for model training.
- Non-Google AI provider exclusion: Google API Data, including Google Drive file content and metadata, is never transmitted, disclosed, or otherwise made available to OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, or any other non-Google third-party AI provider. Non-Google cloud AI integrations are separate from Google API workflows, and Foom excludes Google API Data from prompts, context, files, or requests sent to non-Google AI providers.
- Limited human access: We do not allow humans to read Google API Data except when you have given explicit consent for support involving specific data, when necessary for security or abuse investigation, when required to comply with applicable law or legal process, or when data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
- Retention and revocation: Foom does not store Google Drive file contents on Foom servers. Drive file contents may be cached locally on your device and can be deleted by you. OAuth tokens, if stored, are encrypted at rest and used only to maintain your authorized Google connection. You may revoke Google access through the App, through your Google account settings, or by deleting your Foom account.
3. Integration with Third-Party APIs and Cloud Processing
Foom may provide optional cloud-based AI features from external providers, including Google, OpenAI, Perplexity, and Anthropic. These integrations are used to provide advanced capabilities for non-local workflows. Some cloud integrations may be enabled by default for non-Google workflows, but you may change available settings in the App.
- Non-Google workflows: When a non-Google cloud AI workflow is active, only the prompts, files, and other content that you submit to that non-Google workflow are transmitted to the selected provider for processing.
- Google API Data firewall: Google API Data is not transmitted to OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, or any other non-Google third-party AI provider, even if other cloud AI integrations are enabled.
- Provider terms: When non-Google data is transmitted to a cloud AI provider, processing is governed by that provider's applicable terms and privacy policy, in addition to this Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To manage your account and provide the Services, including authentication, account administration, subscription management, and payment-related operations.
- To verify eligibility, including using date of birth to confirm that you are 18 or older and using location information to confirm that you are in a permitted region.
- To provide Google integrations you request, including Google Sign-In and optional Google Drive file access and analysis, subject to the Google API Data restrictions in this Privacy Policy.
- To provide non-Google cloud AI features you use, excluding Google API Data.
- To monitor, maintain, debug, and improve the App using anonymous or aggregated telemetry, including internal aggregate reporting and product operations. We do not use telemetry to collect the substantive content of your prompts, documents, local files, browsing content, or Google Drive files.
- To communicate with you, including responding to inquiries, providing support, delivering essential service, security, and legal updates, and sending newsletters only if you opt in.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, tax obligations, security obligations, and enforcement of our Terms of Use.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We disclose information only in the limited circumstances described below:
- Service providers: We use service providers such as cloud infrastructure, authentication, email, support, analytics, and payment processors to operate the Services. They may process information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to Foom.
- Google services: If you use Google Sign-In, Google Drive, or other Google integrations, relevant Google API Data is exchanged with Google APIs or Google infrastructure as necessary to provide the user-facing Google feature you requested.
- Non-Google cloud AI providers: For non-Google cloud AI workflows, prompts, files, and other non-Google content you submit to the selected workflow may be transmitted to the selected provider. Google API Data is excluded from this category and is not shared with OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, or other non-Google AI providers.
- Legal compliance and security: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, regulatory request, or other legal process, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent abuse.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, limited account information and operational records may be transferred as part of the transaction. Google API Data will be transferred only as permitted by the Google API Services User Data Policy and, where required, after obtaining explicit prior user consent.
6. Data Security and Retention
- On-device data: Data processed strictly by local AI models remains on your device. You are responsible for maintaining device security, such as using strong passwords, disk encryption, and trusted device access controls.
- Server data: Information stored on Foom servers, such as account authentication information, limited billing metadata, eligibility records, and encrypted OAuth tokens where applicable, is protected using reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate.
- Retention: We retain account information, billing metadata, and eligibility records for as long as your account remains active, and thereafter only as needed for legal, tax, security, or compliance purposes. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize information stored on Foom servers except where retention is legally required.
- Google Drive files: Foom does not store Google Drive file contents on Foom servers. Local cached copies remain on your device and can be deleted by you.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal information stored on Foom servers. You may withdraw consent for optional integrations, including Google Drive access, at any time. You may also disable available cloud AI integrations in the App settings. To exercise privacy rights, contact help@heyfoom.com.
Deleting your Foom account data does not automatically delete data stored locally on your device; you must manage local file deletion manually. You may also revoke Foom's Google access through your Google account settings.
8. Age Requirements
The App and Services are intended only for adult users who are at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, you may not create an account, accept the Terms of Use, or use the App.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take steps to delete the information and terminate the associated account. By creating an account and using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
9. International Users and Data Transfers
The App is currently available only to users located in the United States and India. If you use the App from a permitted region, your account, payment metadata, eligibility records, and related operational data may be stored and processed in the United States. By creating an account and using the App, you consent to processing in the United States as described in this Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App, by email to the address associated with your account, or through another appropriate channel. Where required, we will request consent before using Google API Data or other personal information for a new purpose not previously disclosed.
